Good Days, Bad Days

I think cooking all Sunday really through off my schedule. I was so tired yesterday, I fell asleep at 9:30pm with my laptop right next to me. In the kitchen, I've been off as well. Making dumb mistakes and not feeling totally organized and in control. Today I got my first steam burn reaching into the steamer for something. I have to say it hurt so much more than an oven burn or even a light oil burn (I've suffered both.) My fingers/knuckles were in so much pain, I kept dipping them into an ice bath as I tried to finish my prep for tomorrow. Sigh. There are days, I feel like a rockstar and there are days where I just want to stick my head in the oven or maybe take a nap in the steamer. :(
