Wayfare Tavern

Over the weekend, I flew home to California for a friend's wedding in the Russian River. Unfortunately, I didn't have much free time at home with family and friends but did squeeze in a quick lunch at Wayfare Tavern in San Francisco. It was much deserved after waking to find out my early flight had been canceled. The rest of the morning was spent trying my best to make it to California on time. Wayfare Tavern is Tyler Florence's newest venture. I have heard wonderful things about the food and for once, they were spot on! The interior feels like someone's fancy living room, complete with fireplace and cozy seats. I felt right at home, sitting at the chef's counter, watching them prepare my food.

I've been to a few restaurants of TV personalities and have been disappointed for the most part. I loved that Wayfare Tavern lived up to the hype. I've been a Tyler Florence fan for some time and am very excited to try more of his food. Too bad it's all the way across the country. Oh well, I 'll just have to stop here every time I'm home!
