Hallelujah! Spring has arrived!

Spring has officially appeared here in NYC and I can't stop smiling about it. It's been such a long, cold winter that the idea of warm weather seemed like an urban legend. I thought it would be here earlier but the beginning of March came and went with so real change. Then one glorious day, Spring arrived....everywhere. The greenmarket is back with spring produce. Corner florists have brightly colored daffolis, daisies and tulips. Puffer coats are scarce. The sun is still out when I get out of the gym. And the sheer energy of New Yorkers' happiness can be felt everywhere. Hallelujah!

After my first outdoor run yesterday, I came home and celebrated with homemade lobster rolls. I mixed steamed lobster with red onions, chives, avocado, cherry tomatoes, lemon juice and mayo, all served on Vermont Bread Co. soft potato hot dog buns. It was a perfect meal for a sunny Saturday afternoon.

I want more!

My lobster to bread ratio is a bit off, but that's not really a problem. Had trouble finishing this monsterous roll. Definitely worth the sore muscles from my run.

Can't wait to take advantage of Spring's boutiful produce!
