Giant Rooster

People often think all I do is cook and eat. Well that's not true. I also do a great deal of drinking. I say that without embarrassment because I know perfectly well that I don't actually have a drinking problem. I drink only for three reasons:

1. It helps me relax when I'm stressed
2. It helps me relax when I'm in an uncomfortable social situation
3. I love pairing it with food.

That doesn't sound like an issue right? And if it is, well you only live once so give me a break. :)

My poison of choice is usually red wine, more specifically Cabernet Sauvignon. But chances are, I'd drink anything available other than 2 Buck Chuck. I don't claim to be a wine expert by any means. It's difficult for me to tell the difference between "good" and "bad" wines. I grasp that there are certain nuances like aging, grape blends, etc. but if it tastes good, it tastes good, right? Everyone has different tastes. One person's Charles Shaw can be someone else's Silver Oak.

Now with those words of wisdom, I leave you with my nightcap of choice this lovely evening. I hate standard wine glasses--too delicate for my tastes.

For the price of a Big Mac meal, this bottle of Rex-Goliath Cabernet Sauvignon is a huge bargain. Yes, that is a giant rooster. Feel free to inset pun here. I'm not going to attempt giving any tasting notes. It's good and it's cheap. Try it!
