Txoko

A few nights ago, I sauntered past bright lights and creepy strip clubbers and into Txoko. Located on one of the most colorful streets in San Francisco, Txoko is a real neighborhood gem. Easy to overlook amongst the bars and clubs, this restaurant is quite impressive inside. It has what most restaurants in the city are missing--space. With an amazing cocktail program, delicious food and intimate vibe, Txoko is on my list of favorite places to eat.

local sardines a la plancha, fennel, citrus, chili oil
roasted root vegetables w/chimichurri
fried head cheese, chicharrones
foie gras a la plancha, golden raisin sauce, caramelized brussel sprouts, pain de mie, duck prosciutto
foie gras ice cream
spanish style bread pudding, olive caramel, candied marconas, prunes in syrup
